about

Last Touch was released in late 2012.

The album was Kay's most stripped-back and intimate to date, and features 12 tracks which hint at some of his traditional folk influences. Despite the low key vibe, Kay manages to vary the sound textures by making full use of his voice (album closer "The Station" is largely a cappella) as well as piano & guitar.

Kicking off with "All That We've Lost", a duet with Joanna McQuillan, the album contains live favourite (and regular set-closer) "Adelaide" and the piano track which has gone on to become a staple of Kay's live set, "The Street Dragged Us Down".

The album was launched with a series of gigs in Scotland during December 2012 and was then promoted with an extensive set of dates across the UK in 2013.
